Atascadero House

This new custom residence, on acreage, includes a guest house, shop, and main house.  Santa Fe Style translates well to the local climate, and includes 12" thick walls and deep portolas.  Combined with high mass walls, the house stays comfortable by shading walls from direct sun and storing ambient heat in the mass.  High insulation slows any remaining heat transfer to the interior, making this a good example of appropriate regional style.
